The girls’ day ひなまつり

March 3rd is the girls’ day in Japan.

This year we happily celebrated the day with friends including 5 little girls.

We sure wish for their healthy, lovely growth and lives!

We are so lucky to have such wonderful cooks for our friends. Potluck feast~!

Referred recipe(s):

I tried South Korean sliced rice cake this time. Dried, baked then fried. It’s different from Japanese mochi, but the result was popular for kids 🙂

Hamaguri (White clam) soup

Of  course I didn’t have “Kinome – Young leaves of the Japanese prickly ash”! I just put some carrot leaves in.
